Founded in 1975, Boston Review is a non-profit, reader-supported political and literary magazine—a public space for discussion of ideas and culture. We put a range of voices and views in dialogue on the web (without paywalls or commercial ads) and in print (four times a year)—covering lots of ground from politics and philosophy to poetry, fiction, book reviews, and criticism. Single digital issues are $11.99 (USD) per copy, but you can save 47% by purchasing a digital subscription—4 issues—for $24.99 (USD). Both single digital issues and digital subscriptions are available to purchase within the application. When a subscription is purchased the latest issue will become available to download immediately. Subscriptions automatically renew. However, auto-renewal can be turned off at least 24 hours prior to the start of your next subscription term. Payment will charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased.
You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.
Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account.
We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved.
